Message from Rev. Louis C. Payne, Sr.

I was born in March of 1962 in Washington DC to James C. and Louise Payne, Sr. I was the second of six children.

Purchasing new toys wasn’t a priority for a large family. Therefore, my father James designed and created a puppet stage and four hand puppets. My mother, Louise, wrote scripts for us to read while using the puppets.

We practiced all the time and when company visited, we entertained them with puppet programs. James often dreamed of having a professional puppet production with a large stage, equipment, and designer puppets.

Only one out of the six children continues to work with puppets. Attending workshop, school for puppeteer, perfecting his craft and discovering his God giving talent.

Jim Henson selected Louis at the age of 11, through a community workshop, to move to California and work on a new puppet project (later becoming the famous Muppets). Of course I was too young. But God had other plans for me.

At the age of 17, I started a puppet and outreach ministry, Innervision Puppet Ministry (I.P.M.). I was performing puppet programs at local churches, social events and giving words of inspiration. My equipment included a stage, puppets and a boom box all in two army duffle bags.

Since February 1992, God has blessed Innervision Puppet Productions, Inc. as a full line gospel entertainment. We have two full size vans, over 65 custom made puppets, a custom design (10ft x 10ft) three tier puppet stage, a complete A/V system, a band of instruments, props, backdrops, signs and banners, a 20 foot trailer and a team of 16. Performing an hour program of song, script, liturgical praise, live interaction with puppets, worship, praise and scriptures. God is Good!

And the scripture is true, Acts 2:17 " Old men (James C. Payne, Sr.) shall dream dreams and young men (Elder Louis C Payne, Sr.) shall see visions."

Hence, the name Innervision Puppet Productions Inc. came from a vision with-in a dream; my earthly father to me, and anointed by my heavenly father.

Forever Thankful and Blessed
Elder Louis C. Payne, Sr.
